Poster \"MODERN LOCOMOTIVES\"
Even modern-day locomotives can have their place on a poster:
many types are represented, from the CLASS E 550 E from1908, which chugged through the Italian countryside to the Power Car of the TGV from 1981: many are here because they are well known, others because they look good.

From the historical Gas Turbine with the BBBB wheel arrangement from Union Pacific to the relatively unknown Be 5/7 1-E-1 “Lötschberg” from Switzerland.

There’s the small “Class E 550 E” measuring 31ft 2in (around 11 m) and the “Class DD40AX “Centennial” D-D measuring 98ft 5in (around 32 m).
The TGV with its overall length of 656ft 9in (around 219m) doesn’t count because here the whole train was measured and not just the engine.

We can see the diagonal positioning of the springs as well as the insulators of the current collectors on the electrically driven locomotives.

And here once again, the drawings are done with such love of detail that they are indeed little works of art.

Size: 68 x 98 cm
Art print on 200 g paper, coated with matt varnish.
