Belgium's capital Brussels is also the biggest city of the country. Flights to Belgium usually go to Brussels. Belgium is relatively small, so that in our map of the world no other cities are shown. Belgium is a core country of the European Union and was among the first countries of the European Community.
Belgium has three official languages: Dutch (or rather, Flamish), French and German. German is only spoken by a minority that lives close to the German border.
Tourism is of some importance in Belgium. Next to business travellers, many tourists enjoy visiting the old historical Belgian cities, for example Antwerpen (Anvers), Brugge oder Liège. Belgium has a good railway network, high speed trains connect Brussels with Amsterdam, Paris and Cologne. We would appreciate more detailed information, also about tourism, flights, railway tours, or individual tours to Belgium.

This is our Map of the World with original scripts (original size 70 x 100 cm), from which the detailed map shown above has been cut out. The numbers of city inhabitants and vegetational zones were researched by hand for every country, by using the sources listed below. This procedure prevented the map from containing traditional errors provoked by simply copying such information from previous maps.

The map can be ordered for 11.50 Euros (+ postage and packing) at
